Inspired by a Celtic pendant, from the 1st century discovered in the River Bann, Co Antrim. The pendant was disc shaped and made from bronze. The triskele is supposedly one of the oldest Irish Celtic symbols, used to represent earth water and sky. The Celts had a fascination with this. They used it in their art, from metal work to stone work. All the spirals are interconnecting and the movement within the spirals is associated with the ever-evolving cycle of life.
